Precautions and contact information during the summer vacation

 

Summer vacation is approaching. We are sure everyone has plans for summer vacation, but the infection of the new corona is spreading nationwide. The number of infected people is increasing rapidly, especially among younger generations such as teens to 30s. During the summer vacation, please follow the precautions below and pay attention to your health and safety. If a declaration of emergency is announced to prevent the infection of COVID-19 during the summer vacation, information will be posted on the school’s website, so please make sure to check it.

 

Summer vacation period: Saturday, July 30th – Wednesday, August 31st

* The school will be open during the summer vacation except for Sundays and the following days

Closed days: Saturday, August 6th – Sunday, August 14th

*During this period all school buildings will be closed

 

Precautions regarding COVID-19

  1. 1.Avoid going out unless necessary
    (Please do not travel or go to crowded places)
  1. 2.Please wear a mask when outside. Wash your hands carefully
    (Be sure to wear a mask. Wash your hands thoroughly)
  1. 3.Avoid dining out with a large group of people
    (Do not go out drinking with a large group of people)
  1. 4.If you get infected with COVID-19 or have been in close contact, make sure to contact the school.
    (If you test positive for COVID-19, or have spent a long time with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, immediately contact the school)

 

Other precautions

  1. Students are allowed to work 8 hours a day during summer vacation. However, not more than 40 hours in one week. Be sure to not exceed the permitted hours.
  2. In the summer, many problems arise due to carelessness. Even if you are careful, you could get involved in unexpected accidents. First of all, please try to be calm and have a good summer vacation.
  3. Students who aim to go on to further education or work in Japan should use the summer vacation to prepare. How you choose to spend the vacation might affect how well you do on your exams and interviews.

If you have a fever or are feeling sick

Do not go to a PCR test center, but visit a hospital. You can search for hospitals through the site below (in Japanese). Make sure to make a reservation either online or by phone

If you are worried about infection, but not feeling sick

You can get tested at PCR test centers. Make sure to choose a center that can help you if your test comes back positive.
