■ Precautions

  1. 1.When leaving Japan (temporary return/overseas travel), please submit a travel notification in advance.Contact information (not only your home phone or email address, but also SNS messenger service information where you can be reached at any time, and emergency contact such as a friend in Japan) and flight information (copy of e-ticket, etc.) are also required.
  2. 2.Part-time work of up to 8 hours per day is permitted only during long vacations, but the maximum working hours is 40 hours per week. Be sure to not exceed the permitted hours.
  3. 3.Students who are about to go on to higher education or find a job should prepare thoroughly during this period. How you spend your summer vacation will have a big impact on whether you pass the entrance exam or get a job offer.
  4. 4.Human rights violations and troubles on SNS (Twitter, Facebook, LINE, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.), blogs, online bulletin boards, and by email are increasing. Please do not write words or post pictures that slander others or share your own information lightheartedly.
  5. 5.Traffic accidents involving international students are increasing. Pay special attention to traffic violations such as ignoring traffic lights, riding a bicycle with an umbrella, or while using a mobile phone. The only way to avoid being either a perpetrator or a victim in a traffic accident is to follow the rules and be careful.
  6. 6.Water-related accidents increase in the summer. When the weather is sunny and hot, you may want to go swimming, but please be mindful of your health and stay away from no swimming zones. Even if it looks safe, there are many dangerous places in the sea or rivers, such as deep and fast currents.
  7. 7.Problems caused by the use of drugs such as narcotics and stimulants are increasing. Be careful not to give in to temptation.
  8. 8.Although the classification of COVID-19 has been lowered, it is still important to be careful. There are also many other infectious diseases that increase in the summer. Hand-foot-and-mouth disease, herpangina, and pharyngoconjunctival fever (PCF) are known as the three major infectious diseases in summer, and are generally thought to occur more often in children, but infections in adults are also increasing. In addition, the number of sexually transmitted diseases is increasing, so you need to be careful.
  9. 9.In summer, problems and accidents due to carelessness are more likely to occur. Even if you are careful, you may get involved in an unexpected accident. First of all, try to be calm and have a fun summer vacation.
