Prohibition of temporary overseas travel during Golden Week Holiday

The new semester has finally begun. The start of a semester is a deciding point for your future, and thus a very important time. In Japan, “Golden Week” starts at the end of April. However, temporary return to your home country or overseas travel during Golden Week is prohibited.

The exemption being congratulatory or condolence matters that the school recognizes as a public absence.

The number of positive COVID-19 cases among young people is increasing even though the number of newly infected people is decreasing as a whole. Also, entry from overseas is still restricted and re-entry may be prohibited at any time. There is a risk that you will not be able to come back to Japan. If you cannot re-enter Japan, you will not be able to continue studying abroad. Online classes are not permitted from overseas. Please do not take this lightly.

In addition, please continue to prevent infection by wearing a mask, washing your hands and gargle. Please enjoy your meals in silence when eating out, and refrain from eating out with a large number of people. We ask you to please be aware of your actions.
